The floor plan
Floor plan editor basics
Your floor plan lives on the Floor plan screen, and one view does everything. Drag guests onto chairs, drag tables to move them, and add tables or a dance floor from the rail on the right. Click a table or a guest for its toolbar. Turn on Lock layout when the room is right, and every change saves automatically.
Table types, shapes and seat counts
You can add round, rectangle, square, oval, banquet, sweetheart, head table and ceremony section tables, each with a sensible starting seat count up to 60. Change shape or capacity in Table settings. Rectangle, banquet and head tables can seat guests on one side facing the room; new head tables start that way. Shrinking never removes guests.
Add the dance floor, bar, stage and other objects
On the Floor plan screen, use the slim rail on the right of the floor plan. Drag a dance floor, bar, stage, DJ booth, cake table, entrance, wall or other item onto the floor, or click it to drop it in the middle. Then move, resize or rotate it, and add your own words with a Text label.
Auto-arrange tables and the starter layout
Auto-arrange lines up your tables in one click. On the Floor plan screen, open the More menu, choose Auto-arrange and pick Head table on top, Even grid, Spaced rows or Head table centered. Tables move around your venue objects, locked tables stay put, and nobody's seat changes. Your first floor plan is arranged the same way.
Room size and real measurements
Click Room in the floor plan toolbar and enter your venue’s width and length in metres or feet, or pick a preset. The floor becomes that room: walls are drawn, it never grows, and tables past a wall are outlined in red. With a room set, a scale bar shows distances and dragging shows the gap to the nearest table.
Set up ceremony rows and an aisle
Ceremony seating uses Ceremony section tables: blocks of chairs in rows that you can assign guests to. Start a new seating plan with Ceremony (aisle seating) for an arch, an aisle and six sections split by side, or add Ceremony sections yourself with Add several…. The aisle is simply the gap you leave between sections.
Table settings
Name or number your tables
New tables are numbered for you, like Table 1, Table 2 and so on, using the Name prefix you choose in Add tables. To rename one, open the table and change Table name in Table settings, then click Save. Named tables such as Paris or Family work too, and the floor-plan export can show numbers instead.
Reserve tables or keep them empty
To hold a table back, open it and tick Reserved — keep empty in Table settings, then click Save. Auto-Seat will never put anyone there, so it's perfect for vendors, a kids' table or a table you're saving. You can still seat guests at it by hand. The table shows a Reserved badge on the Table list screen.
Lock the layout or a table
Click the padlock in the floor plan toolbar to turn on Lock layout. Tables and objects then can't be moved, resized, rotated or deleted, but seating guests still works. To pin just one table, select it and choose Lock in its toolbar. A locked table stays put even when the layout is unlocked.
