Paper sizes and how to print
Updated
In short
Each export opens on the page size that fits your plan, from A4 up to A1, and you can change it under Page. Click Save as PDF, then in the print dialog choose Save as PDF or your printer. Print A4 or US Letter at home; send bigger sizes to a print shop as a PDF.
You don’t need to work out a size yourself. Each export opens on the page that fits its content, so a short list isn’t lost on a poster and a big floor plan isn’t squashed onto A4. You can still choose any size you like.
Page sizes
Pick a size from the menu under Page, and switch between Portrait and Landscape next to it:
- A4: 8.27 × 11.69 in
- A3: 11.69 × 16.54 in
- A2: 16.54 × 23.39 in
- A1 (Poster): 23.39 × 33.11 in
- US Letter: 8.5 × 11 in
- 18 × 24 in: 18 × 24 in
- 24 × 36 in (Poster): 24 × 36 in
- 30 × 40 in (Poster): 30 × 40 in
On a phone, the Page options sit below the preview and start folded. Tap the heading to open them.
What each export starts on
- Floor-plan chart: landscape. A3 for up to 10 tables, A2 for up to 22, A1 beyond.
- Guest finder, Table list and Guest meal directory: portrait. A4 for up to 60 guests, A3 up to 120, A2 up to 230, A1 beyond.
- Place cards, Table cards and Table numbers: portrait A4.
- Welcome sign: portrait A3.
Once you pick a size yourself, the screen stops changing it when you switch between exports.
Save a PDF
- 1
Click Save as PDF
In Print & Export, click Save as PDF. A print-ready page opens in a new tab and your browser’s print dialog appears. - 2
Choose Save as PDF
Set Destination to Save as PDF, then click Save. To print on paper straight away, choose your printer instead. - 3
Lost the dialog?
If you close it, click Save as PDF at the top of the print page to open it again. The instructions are repeated there too.
The page size is set for you in the PDF, and long lists flow onto as many sheets as they need, with the frame repeated on each one.
Print at home
- Home printers handle A4 and US Letter. Choose the one that matches your paper under Page before you save.
- In the print dialog, keep the scale at 100% (or “Actual size”).
- If the coloured paper or florals are missing, turn on Background graphics in the print dialog’s extra settings.
- Use card stock for place cards, table cards and table numbers.
Print at a print shop
- Choose the final size under Page first, like 24 × 36 in for an easel, so the layout is designed for that size.
- Send the PDF, not the image. The PDF stays sharp at any size; the image is a fixed number of pixels.
- Ask them to print at 100% scale on matte poster paper or foam board.

Frequently asked questions
What size should my seating chart be?
For an easel, 18 × 24 in or 24 × 36 in in the US, or A2 or A1 elsewhere. The app suggests a size based on your guest and table count, which is a good starting point.
Why are the colours missing when I print?
Some browsers skip backgrounds when printing. Turn on Background graphics in the print dialog’s more settings and print again.
Can I print a big chart across several A4 sheets?
Not automatically. Pick A4 to fit everything on one sheet, or choose a larger size and have it printed at a print shop.
Does Save as PDF work on a phone?
It opens your phone’s print options, where you can usually save or share the page as a PDF. A computer is easier, especially for large sizes.
