The main screens: where everything lives

Updated

In short

Inside a wedding, the sidebar (or the bottom bar on a phone) has six screens. Guests is your guest list. Table list shows your tables. Floor plan is where you arrange tables and seat guests. Print & Export makes charts and cards. QR Code / Seat Finder publishes a guest page. Overview shows progress and recommendations.

Everything for one wedding lives in six screens. On a computer or tablet they’re in the sidebar on the left. On a phone they’re in the bar along the bottom, with shorter names. The work usually flows in this order: add guests, set up tables, seat everyone, then print or publish.

The six screens

Overview (Home on a phone)

Your wedding at a glance: guests, seats, who’s seated, and a Health & recommendations list of things to fix. See your dashboard and the Overview screen.

Guests

Your guest list. Use Add guest, Import (CSV or paste from a spreadsheet) and Groups. The ⋯ menu has Seating rules and Export guest list. Click a guest to open their details: RSVP, meal, dietary notes, household, relationships and seating needs. Meal, age and side counts for your caterer are at the bottom. Start with add guests.

Table list

A list of every table with its seats and who’s sitting there. It’s the quickest place to add tables in a batch, rename them or change their size. See table types and sizes.

Floor plan

The floor plan, and where you’ll spend most of your time. You arrange the room and seat guests in the same view:

  • The room: add tables and venue objects like the dance floor from the rail on the right, and drag them into place.
  • The guests: drag names from the guest list onto tables or exact chairs, tap an empty chair to seat someone, or click Auto-seat. On a phone, unseated guests wait in a tray along the bottom.
  • Lock layout keeps the tables still while you seat people.

See floor plan editor basics.

Turn your plan into print-ready charts and cards: a floor-plan chart, an alphabetical list, table cards, place cards, a welcome sign and more, in your choice of theme. You can preview everything for free. Downloading is part of Pro. See every export at a glance.

QR Code / Seat Finder (QR Code on a phone)

Set up Find Your Seat, a page where guests scan a QR code, type their name and see their table. Publishing it is part of Pro. See what Find Your Seat is.

Along the top

  • Your wedding’s name: click it to open Wedding details (names and date).
  • The plan menu next to it: switch between seating plans or add one. See weddings vs seating plans.
  • Undo and Redo, and the Version history clock.
  • The save status, which reads All changes saved once your work is stored.
  • Share to invite your partner or planner, and Preview chart, which opens Print & Export.
  • Upgrade if you’re on the free plan (or a Pro or Agency badge if you’ve upgraded), and your initials for Settings, Help and Log out.

Some of these are hidden on small screens to save room. See using Lovely Seating on a phone.

The sidebar also has Dashboard (all your weddings), Settings, Help and a Getting started checklist.
