Pro feature Print & Export

Every export at a glance

Updated

In short

Go to Print & Export to turn your plan into something you can print. There are nine exports: floor-plan chart, guest finder, table list, table cards, table numbers, meal directory, place cards, welcome sign and a CSV spreadsheet. Pick a theme and page size, then click Save as PDF or Download image. Previewing is free; downloading needs Pro.

Everything you print for the day comes from one screen: Print & Export (Print on a phone). You choose what to make, see a live preview built from your plan, and download it as a PDF or an image. If you change a table or move a guest, the next export picks it up. There’s nothing to re-type.

Real exports from the app’s own renderer, using a fictional sample wedding. Pick a sample to compare.

The nine exports

Themes, sizes and formats

7 themes

Every printable export comes in 7 themes: Blush Romance, Sage Greenery, Classic Elegance, Modern Minimal, Coastal Breeze, Golden Champagne, Amethyst Plum. The screen starts on the style you picked when you set up your wedding, and you can switch for each export. Read themes, corner art and styling.

Page sizes

Each export opens on the page size that fits your plan best. For example, a small table list starts on A4, and a big floor plan on A2. You can change it to anything from A4 or US Letter up to a 30 × 40 in poster. See paper sizes and how to print.

PDF or image?

  • Save as PDF opens a print-ready page in a new tab and brings up your browser’s print dialog. Choose Save as PDF to keep a file, or pick your printer. Long lists run onto as many pages as they need. This is the sharpest option and the one to send to a print shop.
  • Download image saves a PNG of the page. It’s handy for sending to family or a planner. Very long exports can be too big for one image; the app will tell you to use Save as PDF instead.

Before you export

Above the preview, the screen flags anything that would make the chart look wrong. You can still export, but it’s worth a look:

  • attending guests who aren’t seated yet (they won’t appear on the chart)
  • tables that are over capacity
  • tables that share a name, or have no name
  • no tables at all, so there’s nothing to draw on a floor plan

If your wedding has more than one seating plan, a Seating plan menu appears at the top. Each plan has its own layout; the guest list is shared.

Downloading needs Pro

On the Free plan you can open every export and see a full preview with a light watermark. Downloading a PDF, image or CSV needs Pro ($39 one-time, no subscription). See the watermarked preview.

Frequently asked questions

Can I export a seating chart for free?

You can build your plan and preview every export for free, with a watermark. Downloading the PDF, image or CSV needs Pro.

Can I edit the PDF afterwards?

Make your changes in Lovely Seating and export again. The export is always rebuilt from your latest plan, so it’s quicker than editing a PDF.

Does the export include guests who declined?

No. Declined guests are left off the charts, lists, cards and meal directory. The CSV spreadsheet is the exception: it lists every guest with their RSVP.

Can I print a menu card?

Not yet. Menu cards aren’t one of the export options today.
