Delete a wedding or seating plan, and undo it
Updated
In short
Delete a wedding from the dashboard with the ⋯ menu, then Delete. A message with Undo stays for 30 seconds; after that it's gone for good. To hide a wedding safely, choose Archive instead and restore it any time. A single seating plan is deleted from the plan switcher and can be recovered with version history.
There are two different things you can delete: a whole wedding, with its guest list and every seating plan, or one seating plan inside a wedding, such as a ceremony layout you no longer need. They work a little differently, so here’s each one.
Archive a wedding instead of deleting it
If you just want a wedding off your dashboard, archive it. Nothing is lost and you can bring it back whenever you like.
- 1
Open the wedding’s menu
On your dashboard, click ⋯ on the wedding’s card. Its label is Wedding actions. - 2
Click Archive
The wedding moves to the Archived list at the bottom of the dashboard. A message with Undo appears in case you clicked by accident.
To bring it back, open Archived at the bottom of the dashboard and click Restore. Archived weddings still count toward your plan’s wedding limit.
Delete a wedding
- 1
Open the wedding’s menu
Click ⋯ on the wedding’s card, then Delete. - 2
Confirm
A window asks Delete wedding? and reminds you that you can undo for 30 seconds after deleting. Click Delete wedding. - 3
Undo straight away if you need to
A message says Deleted with the wedding’s name and an Undo button. Click it and you’ll see Wedding restored, with everything back as it was.
You have seconds, not days
You can also delete an archived wedding: open Archived, click the bin icon and confirm Delete. The same 30-second Undo window applies.
What happens to your guest page and collaborators
- If you published a Find Your Seat page, it goes offline the moment you delete. If you click Undo, it comes back on the same link, so printed QR codes keep working.
- Your list of collaborators is kept during the Undo window, so Undo brings everyone’s access back too.
Only the wedding’s owner can archive or delete it. Collaborators don’t see these options.
Delete one seating plan
Seating plans are the different layouts inside one wedding, like Reception and Ceremony. They share one guest list. See weddings vs seating plans.
- 1
Open the plan switcher
In your wedding, click the seating plan button next to the wedding’s name in the top bar. - 2
Click the bin icon next to the plan
On a computer it appears when you hover over the plan’s name. You can’t delete your only plan, so it’s missing when you have just one. - 3
Confirm
The window explains: This removes this plan’s layout and seating. Your guest list is shared, so it stays. Click Delete plan.
Getting a deleted seating plan back
There’s no Undo message for this one, and the Undo arrow resets when a plan is deleted. Your way back is version history (Pro): restore a snapshot from before you deleted it. Remember this rolls the whole wedding back to that moment.

Frequently asked questions
Can you recover a wedding I deleted yesterday?
Unfortunately not. After the 30-second Undo window, a deleted wedding is permanently removed, along with its history. Archive weddings you might want later.
What's the difference between Archive and Delete?
Archive hides a wedding from your main list and keeps everything, so you can restore it any time. Delete removes it for good after 30 seconds.
Does deleting a seating plan delete my guests?
No. The guest list belongs to the wedding and is shared by all its seating plans. Only that plan's tables, layout and seating are removed.
Does an archived wedding count toward my limit?
Yes. Archived weddings still count toward your plan's wedding limit. Delete one to free up the space.
