What Happened to AllSeated?

AllSeated became Prismm, Cvent bought Prismm, and Prismm is being folded into Cvent Event Diagramming. Here is the dated timeline from Cvent’s own pages, who it affects, what to export before June 2027, and where to go next.

The short answer

Key takeaways
  • AllSeated and Prismm are the same product. Cvent now owns it.
  • You can’t create new Prismm events. That stopped on 26 August 2026.
  • Existing events stay editable until June 2027, then they become view-only in Cvent.
  • Venues are being moved to Cvent Event Diagramming. Couples usually just need a simpler seating tool.

What happened to AllSeated, year by year?

AllSeated went through three changes in about two years: a rebrand, an acquisition, and now a migration into another product. Every date below comes from Cvent or Prismm. We checked each source in October 2026.

About the “31 December 2026” date

Several third-party sites say Prismm shuts down on 31 December 2026. Cvent’s migration page doesn’t give that date. It says the runway was extended to June 2027 so Cvent could add features such as an AI Seating Assistant first. Plan around June 2027, and check Cvent’s page again if your event is close to that date.

Does AllSeated still work in 2026?

Partly. You can still sign in and edit the Prismm events you already have, but you can’t start a new one. Since 13 May 2026, Prismm users sign in to Cvent Event Diagramming at login.socialtables.com with their Prismm email address. That sign-in tells you where the product is heading: Cvent Event Diagramming signs in through Social Tables, the diagramming tool Cvent already owned, and is sold on the same price list.

Cvent’s migration page also lists what does and doesn’t carry over:

  • Users and teams move across and are matched by email address. Owner, admin and collaborator roles become CED team roles.
  • Prismm events dated 1 January 2022 or later show on the CED home page. Cvent’s page doesn’t say how to find older events there.
  • Templates, favourites and groups don’t move. Cvent says to recreate them, with templates becoming Saved Layouts in CED.
  • Collaboration links and invites keep working until Prismm sunsets in June 2027.
  • Paid Prismm accounts keep their plan, price and limits unless the account owner picks a new CED plan.

Who is affected, and what are their options?

Anyone with work in AllSeated or Prismm is affected, but the right move depends on why you used it. Venues used it to design their rooms. Couples and many planners used it for one job: a seating chart.

Who the Prismm sunset affects and the realistic options for each
You are…What changes for youRealistic options
A couple with a wedding in PrismmYou can edit your event until June 2027. A wedding after that date can’t be planned in Prismm.Export your guest list and layout now, then use a wedding seating tool you can keep editing up to the day.
An independent wedding plannerNo new client events in Prismm. Past events become view-only after June 2027.Cvent Event Diagramming if you need its diagramming, or a seating tool built for multiple weddings.
A venue, hotel or event companyYour team has already been moved to CED. Room templates have to be rebuilt as Saved Layouts.Cvent Event Diagramming is the intended home, with uploads of to-scale floor plans and optional 3D.

If you only used AllSeated for seating, you don’t need a venue diagramming suite to replace it. Our comparison of wedding seating chart tools sets the couple-friendly options side by side.

How do I export my AllSeated guest list and floor plan before access ends?

Export everything you might need before June 2027, and sooner if your wedding or event is coming up. Cvent’s own advice is to export the Prismm floor plans and reports you want to keep and save them outside the product.

What we couldn’t verify

Cvent’s migration page doesn’t name the menus to use, and Prismm’s help centre blocked our checks in October 2026. So the steps below describe what to export, not the exact buttons. If you can’t find an export option, contact Cvent Support or email prismm-migration@cvent.com, the address Cvent gives for migration questions.

  1. 1List the events you still need. Include any upcoming weddings and past events you want for reference. Note anything dated before 1 January 2022, because Cvent’s home page won’t list it.
  2. 2Sign in. Use your Prismm email at login.socialtables.com, as Cvent describes, and open each event.
  3. 3Export the guest list as a spreadsheet. Include names, RSVP status, meal choices, dietary notes and table or seat numbers if the export offers them.
  4. 4Export the floor plan as a PDF. Even if your next tool can’t import it, a PDF shows you where every table and guest went, which makes rebuilding much faster.
  5. 5Export any other reports you rely on, such as meal counts or table lists for the caterer.
  6. 6Save the files outside your account. Use a cloud drive or your computer, and name each file by event and date.
  7. 7Open every file to check it. Make sure names aren’t cut off and special characters display correctly.
  8. 8Tell your collaborators. Shared Prismm links stop working when Prismm sunsets, so couples, family and clients need to know where the plan is moving.
Got an Excel file?

Most seating tools, including ours, import CSV rather than .xlsx. In Excel use File → Save As → CSV. In Google Sheets use File → Download → Comma-separated values. Keep the header row so the columns can be matched.

What should I use instead of AllSeated?

It depends on who you are. Venues should look at Cvent’s replacement. Couples and most independent planners are better served by a seating tool that doesn’t need a subscription.

For venues and event teams: Cvent Event Diagramming (Social Tables)

This is where Cvent is moving every Prismm account. It supports to-scale floor plan uploads (DWG, PDF, JPEG, PNG), attendee list upload from an Excel template, and PDF floor plan exports. 3D rendering is listed under Enterprise. These are the prices on Cvent’s pricing page in October 2026:

Cvent Event Diagramming planner plans, from Cvent's pricing page, checked October 2026

Free$032150
Standard$49/mo or $480/yr15 a year3150
Pro$150/mo or $1,500/yr50 a year3150
Premium$320/mo or $3,500/yrUnlimitedUnlimitedUnlimited
EnterpriseCustomUnlimitedUnlimitedUnlimited

Social Tables’ pricing page shows the same tiers and adds that all paid plans have a 12-month commitment. Each plan includes one user, and events other people share with you don’t count toward your limits.

For couples and wedding planners: a dedicated seating tool

If AllSeated was where you made your wedding seating chart, look for three things in a replacement: CSV import for your exported list, a floor plan you can rebuild quickly, and a price that fits one wedding. A full side-by-side of AllSeated and Lovely Seating is on our AllSeated (Prismm) alternative page.

Planners running several weddings at once have different needs from a couple. Our page on seating software for wedding planners covers the Agency plan: $79/month for unlimited weddings and white-label exports.

How do I bring my AllSeated guest list into Lovely Seating?

Import the CSV you exported, check that the columns match, then rebuild the room. Most couples can move a plan in an afternoon. Here is how it works:

  1. 1Create your wedding. The setup wizard asks for the date and guest count and builds a starter floor plan.
  2. 2Go to Guests and click Import, then choose Upload CSV and pick your exported file.
  3. 3Check the matched columns. Names, email, phone, group, household, RSVP, meal and dietary notes can all come across.
  4. 4Review the preview and import. Duplicate names and guests already on your list are flagged before anything is added.
  5. 5Rebuild the room from your PDF. In the reception floor plan editor, add the same tables (round, banquet, head, sweetheart and more) plus the dance floor, bar and stage.
  6. 6Seat everyone. Drag guests onto seats, or let Auto-Seat place the unassigned guests, keeping households together and conflicts apart.
The import flow: upload a CSV, check the matched columns, confirm the rows. Sample data.

The full walkthrough, including which RSVP wordings are recognised and how plus-ones import, is in our help article on importing guests from a spreadsheet.

What doesn’t carry over

Table and seat columns aren’t imported, so you seat guests after the import. AllSeated diagrams can’t be imported either, so you rebuild the layout. Our floor plan is a 2D drag-and-drop room without real-world measurements or 3D. If a to-scale venue drawing is essential to you, Cvent Event Diagramming is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to AllSeated?

+

AllSeated launched in 2014, renamed itself Prismm in 2024 and was bought by Cvent in April 2025. Cvent is moving Prismm users to Cvent Event Diagramming: since 26 August 2026 new events can only be created there, existing Prismm events stay editable until June 2027, and after that Prismm work is view-only in Cvent.

Is AllSeated still free?

+

AllSeated no longer exists under that name, and you can’t start new events in Prismm. Its replacement, Cvent Event Diagramming, has a free plan for 1 user with 3 events, 2 diagrams per event and up to 150 attendees per list. Paid plans run from $49 to $320 a month (checked October 2026).

Will my old AllSeated or Prismm events be deleted?

+

Cvent says Prismm-created work stays available in Cvent in view-only mode after Prismm access ends in June 2027, so it is not described as deleted. You won’t be able to edit it, though, and Cvent’s home page only lists Prismm events dated 1 January 2022 or later, so export anything you still need before June 2027.

What replaced AllSeated?

+

For venues and event professionals, Cvent Event Diagramming replaced it. That is Cvent’s diagramming product, which shares Social Tables’ sign-in and pricing. Couples and independent planners who only need a wedding seating chart often move to a simpler seating tool instead.

Is Prismm shutting down on 31 December 2026?

+

Not according to Cvent. Some third-party sites quote 31 December 2026, but Cvent’s own Prismm migration page says existing Prismm events stay editable until June 2027, when Prismm access ends. New Prismm events have not been possible since 26 August 2026.

Can I move my AllSeated guest list to another seating chart tool?

+

Yes. Export the guest list from Prismm as a spreadsheet, save it as a CSV file, and import it into the new tool. Floor plans don’t transfer between tools, so keep a PDF of your layout and rebuild it. In Lovely Seating, importing a CSV and building your plan are free.
