Terms of Service

Lovely Seating is an online tool for planning event seating. You can build a guest list, track RSVPs, meals, dietary and accessibility notes, arrange tables on a visual floor plan, assign guests to tables or exact seats, and export seating charts, place cards and guest lists. Some features are free; others require a paid plan.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you are of legal age, have the authority to accept these Terms, and will use the Service lawfully.

You keep ownership of the seating plans and information you create. To provide the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content on your behalf.

When you add details about your guests — such as names, contact information, RSVP status, meal choices or dietary and accessibility notes — you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to do so and for how you use that information. Private notes and sensitive details are kept in your planning record and are not shown on guest-facing charts by default.

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Uploading or entering unlawful, infringing, offensive or abusive content;
• Using the Service to collect or process other people's personal data without a lawful basis;
• Reverse-engineering, scraping, or bypassing technical restrictions or plan limits;
• Reselling or redistributing the Service without our permission;
• Sharing your account credentials or using one account across unauthorised users.

We may investigate, suspend, restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

Where a plan describes a feature as “unlimited” (for example, unlimited guests and tables on the free plan), that reflects genuine personal or professional event-planning use. Automated submission, bulk data hosting, or large volumes of content unrelated to planning an event may constitute abuse. We apply fair use reasonably and may throttle or suspend accounts that abuse it.

Fees are shown at the point of purchase and processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). By purchasing, you agree that:

• You are paying for digital access to software, not a physical product;
• Subscriptions renew according to the plan you choose until you cancel;
• Where a technical fault prevents you from using a paid feature, we will investigate and may issue a refund on a case-by-case basis;
• Initiating a chargeback may result in suspension or termination of your account.

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, abuse or fraud, chargebacks, or conduct we reasonably determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time.

Lovely Seating is local-first: by default your plans are saved in your browser, and when you create an account and enable sync they are stored securely in the cloud tied to your account. We take reasonable backups but do not guarantee that data will be stored or retrievable indefinitely — please export anything important. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the accuracy, reliability or continuous availability of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lovely Seating shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the Service.

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service, including payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting and storage, and analytics. Their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
