Everything you need to plan seating with ease.

Getting started

  • Create a plan. From your plans, choose “New plan”. Pick a table preset to start with tables already laid out, or start from scratch.
  • Add your guests. Type them in one at a time, or paste a whole list / upload a CSV to add everyone at once.
  • Seat & export. Arrange tables, seat your guests (even automatically), then export a print-ready chart.

Guests

  • Add guests fast. Use Import to paste a list (one guest per line, “+1” for a plus-one) or upload a CSV. Duplicates are flagged so you can merge them.
  • Organize. Group guests (e.g. Bride’s Family, College Friends), set RSVP status, meals, dietary notes, and mark VIPs — then filter and sort by any of them.
  • Bulk edits. Select several guests to assign a table, set RSVP, or change groups all at once.

Seating rules, households & needs

  • Households. Group a couple or family into a household (on a guest’s profile, or map a Household column when you import). Keep-together households are seated at one table.
  • Must sit / keep apart. On any guest, add a “must sit with” or “keep apart from” rule — great for close friends, or for relatives who shouldn’t share a table. “Would like to sit with” is a soft preference.
  • Access needs. Mark a guest’s needs (wheelchair space, near an exit, quiet area, high chair) and tag your tables to match. Needs stay private — never printed on guest charts.
  • See it all. The “Rules” button on the Guests screen shows every household, rule, and need at a glance, and flags any that contradict each other.

Layout & seating

  • Arrange the room. In Layout mode, add tables and objects (dance floor, bar, DJ booth…), then drag them into place. Auto-arrange tidies everything for you.
  • Seat guests. Switch to Assign mode, then drag a guest onto a chair — or tap a table to seat from a list. Auto-seat places everyone at once, keeping households together, honoring must-sit and keep-apart rules, and matching access needs to the right tables — then explains what it did.
  • Fine-tune. Drag a seated guest to a new chair, swap two guests, or unassign anyone. Over-capacity and declined-but-seated guests are flagged automatically.

Exporting

  • Choose a format. A visual floor-plan chart, an A–Z guest finder, a table-by-table list, cut-out place cards, or a CSV spreadsheet.
  • Style it. Pick a theme, page size, and what to include, then preview it live.
  • Print or save. “Print / Save as PDF” opens a print-ready page — choose “Save as PDF” in your browser’s print dialog, or “Download image” for a PNG.

Frequently asked

Where are my plans saved?

By default everything is saved privately in your browser on this device — no account needed. When cloud sync is enabled, your plans sync securely to your account and follow you across devices.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Every screen is designed to work on phones and tablets, including the floor-plan editor with pinch-to-zoom.

How do I back up a plan?

On your plans, open a plan’s ⋯ menu and choose “Download backup” to save a JSON file. Restore it any time with Import.

Can it keep certain guests apart (e.g. divorced parents, exes)?

Yes. Add a “keep apart” rule on either guest and Auto-seat will never place them at the same table — and the floor plan flags it if they ever end up together.

Does it handle wheelchair access and other seating needs?

Yes. Mark a guest’s access needs (wheelchair space, near an exit, quiet area, high chair) and tag your tables to match; Auto-seat seats each guest at a table that fits. These needs are private and never appear on printed guest charts.

A guest declined but is still seated — is that a problem?

Not necessarily, but we flag it on the overview so you can free up the seat if you’d like.
