Print a floor-plan seating chart
Updated
In short
The Floor-plan chart draws your room as a seating chart, laid out like your Floor plan screen. Choose Names by chairs, Names in tables or Chairs + initials, then decide whether to show table names or numbers, guest names, venue objects and a group legend. It opens landscape on A3, A2 or A1 depending on how many tables you have.
The floor-plan chart is the classic seating poster: your reception room drawn from above, with every table where you placed it and every guest at their table. It’s built from your plan on the Floor plan screen, so if the room looks right there, it will look right on paper.

Check the size under Page, then click Save as PDF. See paper sizes and how to print.
Names by chairs, names in tables or chairs with initials
- Names by chairs: each guest’s name sits beside their own chair, just like on the Floor plan screen. This reads like an elegant seating chart for guests to browse at the entrance. When tables sit very close together, long names shorten to “First L.”, and a guest whose name has no room shows their initials on the chair instead.
- Names in tables: each table lists its guests’ names inside it. If your room is very tightly packed, the Export screen suggests this style so every name fits.
- Chairs + initials: guests appear as coloured chairs with their initials, in their actual seats. This works well as a venue map for your coordinator or caterer.
What you can include
- Couple’s names and Wedding date: the title at the top of the chart.
- Table names: shows each table’s name, like “Table 7” or “The Rose Table”.
- Table numbers instead: shortens names that start with “Table” to a number, so “Table 7” becomes “#7”.
- Guest names at tables: untick it for a clean layout map with no names.
- Venue objects: the dance floor, bar, stage and anything else you added. See venue objects.
- Group legend: a small “Groups” key in the bottom-left corner with each group’s colour.
Rename tables before you print
Who appears on the chart
Everyone with a table appears, in the seat you gave them if you chose exact seats. Guests marked Declined are left off. If a table has more guests than chairs, the extra guests show as “+2” (or however many) so nobody quietly disappears.
Guests without a table aren’t on the chart. If any attending guests are unseated, a warning above the preview tells you how many.
Page size and orientation
The chart opens in landscape, sized to your room: A3 for up to 10 tables, A2 for up to 22 and A1 beyond that. You can pick any size under Page. Big floor plans are easiest to read as a poster, so a print shop is usually the best bet.

Frequently asked questions
Is the floor plan drawn to scale?
No. It matches your layout on the Floor plan screen, but it isn’t a to-scale architectural drawing. It shows where tables sit relative to each other and the room.
Can I show seat numbers on the chart?
Choose Chairs + initials to show each guest in their exact chair. The chart doesn’t print seat numbers.
Why is a guest missing from my chart?
They either don’t have a table yet or are marked Declined. Seat them on the Floor plan screen, or check their RSVP in Guests.
Can I hide the venue objects?
Yes. Untick Venue objects under What to include and only the tables are drawn.
