Remove someone or resend an invite
Updated
In short
Open your wedding, click Share, and find the person under People with access. Click the bin icon to remove them; their access ends and any unused link stops working. While an invite is still waiting, use the link icon to copy it or the envelope icon to resend the email. Only the owner can do this.
Everything about who has access lives in one place: the Share window in your wedding. Only the owner can open it, so only the owner can remove people or resend invites.
Remove someone
- 1
Open Share
In the wedding, click Share in the top bar. On a phone, tap the person icon with a plus sign. - 2
Find them under People with access
Everyone you’ve invited is listed by email, whether they’ve joined or not. - 3
Click the bin icon
It’s at the end of their row. There’s no confirmation step. You’ll see Removed and their email.
Once removed, they can no longer open the wedding, and it disappears from their dashboard. If they hadn’t joined yet, their invite link stops working. Anyone who opens it sees This invite link isn’t valid.
Removed someone by mistake?
Resend or copy an invite
While someone still shows Invite sent — waiting for them to open the link, two small icons appear next to their name:
- 1
Copy invite link (the link icon)
Copies their personal link so you can send it by text, WhatsApp or your own email. You’ll see Invite link copied — send it to them directly. - 2
Resend invite email (the envelope icon)
Sends the invite email again. If you just sent one, wait a couple of minutes. Otherwise you’ll see “Invite just sent — give it a couple of minutes before resending.”
Both icons disappear once the person joins, because the link has done its job.
Invited the wrong address?
Remove the wrong entry with the bin icon, then invite the right address. Removing it first means the old link can’t be used by anyone.
Change what they can do instead
If you don’t want to remove someone, just stop them making changes: switch them from Editor to Viewer in the same row. See editors and viewers.
Frequently asked questions
Will they be told that I removed them?
No, we don't send an email. The wedding simply disappears from their dashboard.
Do changes they made stay in the plan?
Yes. Removing someone only ends their access. Their past edits stay, and you can roll back to an earlier version with version history if you need to.
Can a collaborator remove themselves?
Not yet. There's no Leave button, so ask the owner to remove you.
