Your dashboard and the Overview screen

There are two “home” screens in Lovely Seating. Your weddings is your account’s dashboard: a card for each wedding. Overview is the first screen inside a wedding, and it tells you how that wedding is going and what to do next.

Your weddings (the dashboard)

You land here when you sign in. To get back to it from inside a wedding, click Dashboard in the sidebar or click the Lovely Seating logo. On a phone, tap your initials, then Settings, then Dashboard at the top. Each wedding card shows:

• the wedding name, your names and the date
• how many guests and tables it has, and how many guests are assigned
• a ring showing seating progress
• a chip for each seating plan, if the wedding has more than one, so you can jump straight to it
• when it was last edited

Click a card to open the wedding. The ⋯ menu on a card (Wedding actions) has Rename, Edit wedding details, Duplicate, Download backup, Archive and Delete. A wedding someone shared with you shows a Shared · edit or Shared · view label, and its menu has fewer options.

Archived weddings sit in a collapsed Archived list at the bottom, where you can Restore them. See delete a plan or wedding and undo.

Overview: the home screen of a wedding

Open a wedding and you’re on Overview (Home on a phone). It has three parts.

Six stat cards

• Tables, with a Manage link to the Table list screen.
• Seats: total seats across your tables, and how many are still open.
• Guests, with an Add guests link.
• Seated: how many guests have a table, and what percentage that is.
• Unseated, with a Seat them link to the Floor plan screen. When everyone has a seat it says “All seated ✓”.
• Groups, plus how many households you have.

Health & recommendations

This card checks your plan and lists what needs attention, most urgent first. For example: RSVPs that are still pending, guests at a table that doesn’t meet their seating needs, or guests with seating needs that no table is tagged for yet. Tap any item to jump to the guests or tables involved.

The card shows up to six items. If there are more, click +N more to review → or the “to review” chip to see them all. When nothing needs fixing it says Everything looks great 🎉. Before you’ve added guests and tables it simply asks you to add them.

Attendance, Meals and Groups

• Attendance: Attending, Maybe, Awaiting and Declined totals, plus adults, children and infants.
• Meals: how many of each meal, plus counts of dietary notes and accessibility needs. Manage opens your meal options.
• Groups: your guest groups and how many people are in each. Manage opens your groups.

These numbers are what your caterer and venue usually ask for. See get counts for your caterer.
