Pro feature QR Code / Seat Finder

Publish your Find Your Seat guest page

Updated

In short

Go to QR Code / Seat Finder. The page is already filled in from your plan, and the phone preview shows exactly what guests will see. Click Publish page to get your link, QR code, sign designer and embed code. Keep it live is on, so seating changes appear automatically. Publishing needs Pro.

Publishing takes about a minute. Your page is already filled in from your plan, so you can publish it as it is and polish it later. Before you start, seat your guests: only guests with a table can find themselves.

Publish the page

  1. 1

Open QR Code / Seat Finder

In your wedding, click QR Code / Seat Finder in the sidebar (QR Code in the bottom bar on a phone). The screen is headed Find Your Seat.
  2. 2

    Check the preview

On a computer, a phone preview on the right shows your page with your own guests and updates as you type. On a phone, tap Preview. Search for a guest to see their result.
  3. 3

    Make it yours (optional)

Pick a theme, choose what a guest sees after finding their name, and switch on a schedule, menu or venue section if you want them. See design your guest page.
  4. 4

    Click Publish page

It’s in the Find Your Seat card at the top. You’ll see Your Find Your Seat page is live. and the card shows your link, QR code and sharing options.

You can change everything later

Every setting stays in the builder after you publish. Change the theme, the sections or what guests see, and the live page follows with the same QR code.

What you get

  • Your link, like lovelyseating.com/find/emma-and-james-4f2a. Use the copy button to copy it, or the arrow to open the page.
  • A custom link in Link & passcode, like lovelyseating.com/find/emma-and-james. If it’s taken, you’ll get a suggestion with a short ending. The old link keeps working, so printed QR codes never break.
  • Your QR code, with Download QR, and a QR sign designer for welcome signs, table tents and invitation inserts. See QR code and signs.
  • Add it to your wedding website, with Copy embed code. See embed it on your wedding website.
  • Live stats: visits, guests who found their seat, shares, and searches that found no one.
  • A Keep it live switch and a Take down link.

The page is hidden from search engines. For an extra lock, add a passcode in Link & passcode. It’s off by default, and guests only type it once.

Good to know

  • One page per wedding. If you have several seating plans, pick one in Show seats from before you publish (it starts on the plan you’re working in). The page only ever follows that plan, and the card shows Showing seats from so you can check or switch it.
  • Its theme starts on your chart’s theme. You can pick a different one for the page without changing your chart.
  • Guest names come down by themselves 3 days after your wedding date. See when the page comes down.
  • Agency only: planners also see Remove Lovely Seating branding under After the wedding, which hides the credit on the page and the signs.

Publishing needs Pro

On the Free plan you can build the whole page and open a full preview with your own guests, marked “Preview — publish with Pro”. The button reads Publish with Pro and opens the upgrade screen. Pro is $39 one-time, with no subscription.

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish before my seating is finished?

Yes. With Keep it live on, the page follows your changes, so guests always see the latest tables. Just make sure everyone is seated by the day.

Can my partner or planner publish it?

Only the wedding’s owner can publish the page, change its link or take it down. Collaborators can edit the page and see its stats, and their changes keep it up to date too.

Why does it say Publishing needs an online account?

You’re using Lovely Seating without signing in. You can still build and preview your page. Sign in or create a free account, then publish.

Can I change the link to something custom?

Yes, once the page is published. Open Link & passcode, type the link you’d like and click Save. The old link keeps working and redirects, so printed QR codes still work.
